I used Admiral last year (my 1st year), came to about £1100 fully comp (put my mum and my sister on it and it came down by a few hundred).

This year I went for RAC, £700 fully comp with business use.

I reckon you could do better!

quinn do seem to be quite good for younger drivers however.. last year insurance cost me £1400 with no mods!

yea quinn-direct defently, my first car is a mk3 genesis 1.3 and my insurance is £105 a month, thats the best i could find. But defently go for quinny.

I've been with a broker called hyperformance the last 2 years, with 2 years no claims, 6 points for careless driving and 23 i was 190 quid fire and theft for my M reg CL 1.3. then changed it over to a MK5 TDi and it was only 230 quid extra to go fully comp! Might just be an andvantage of living in the north of scotland though!!

I tried Quinn direct and got a quote for 1200quid, then tried Ecar insurance, and got a quote for 864.15!! First car, 17, 0NCB new driver.! BARGIN.( 1.4 polo Open Air )

I'm with Direct Line at £1800, I seem to be paying over the odds.

Its my first year (I'm 17) my car is a 06, 1.2 E Polo. Am I being ripped off?

looked at this, with passplus (which I'm going for as soon as i pass) a mk3 1ltr polo cl coupe in my own name, no ncb, etc, £850- with Quinn it was £890 with dad insuring it and me a no claims.

I'm not sure what they are like with young drivers as I've not looked but greenlight was and still is atleast £200 cheaper than others

Adrian flux were cheapest for me... (didn't try quinn direct as I didn't know about them)

Adrian flux took my from the 3.5k quote by Churchill (on a 1 litre, standard mk4 polo...) to about £1300 with break down cover... (not that you need it on a vw)

The best thing to so i just ring round, they change daily.

I've found admiral,bell and elephant are cheapest for me.

I got free breakdown cover, windscreen cover + something else lol. 858quid. first car 1.4:)

I'm with a company called linklady so thatl be no help lol, alot of insurance companies are cons anyway... look out for extremely high excess if your under 25 lol as my excess it 500 bloody quid! i was with churchill before which were cheap for me but I've found some companies favour males and others females... i should know i shopped around alot!
