insurance and v5

Featured Replies

hi, here's the deal, i cant find the engine number on my polo gt engine, i dare say its there, but i cant find it, or see it, or read it. And i cant find the log book for the car that i took the engine and box out of. So...........?

The polo is now insured, and they want to know the engine and box number, and i haven't sent the v5 off yet as i cant find the engine number etc. Basically what I'm askin is, can i have it insured as a polo gt mk1 1.3, and still have the log book say its a 900cc, or does this invalidate my insurance altogether?

Where else might i be able to get hold of my engine number, i know the reg of the car it came from, would the dvla be able to tell me the engine number

please post back if u can understand me and my stupidly long drawn out question, he he

Not sure hwere the engine number is, think its on the head actually but dont quote me on that. You cant insure it as a 1.3 and have the log book say 900 as itl invalidate your insurance if you even manage to get any, they normally can tell what your car should be just from the reg. Find the eng no and change it, thats the easiest thing to do!
