Brentacre

Well I didn't go with Adrian Flux in the end, after adding business cover pushed the premium up from £405 to £580 :-o

Phoned HIC who got it down to £550 for the same quote...

Then phoned Brentacre. What a difference! Fully comprehensive, protected NCB, business cover, legal cover, air filter and exhaust declared, £480 for my GTi :-D

Best bit: any mods allowed at no extra cost as long as power does not go above 130bhp (which I am at now with existing mods), and as long as I phone up and keep the guys and girls at Brentacre informed. Well chuffed. I've dropped £100 from my original renewal notice from Direct Line, got pretty much free reign on mods, and the all-important business cover that my employers are now demanding (I travel to clients as part of my job).

Next mod planned is suspension, then maybe 280mm brake upgrade.. then wheels!

Really happy, and its all down to Club Polo!

If you're after insurance, Brentacre are well worth asking. Done me a great deal ;)

Cheers

Good stuff. I'm hoping Brentacre will be able to give me a decent quote this year.

Already had quotes of around 300 quid for the GT. Makes me feel old!! :|

I'm going to start an insurance policy in my own name next year when I'm 20. I'm not looking forward to the quote I get :?

That is cheap! Although I guess your postcode helps a bit. My GT was around £650 iirc with brentacre last year with 1 yr NCB. I think I might have to ring around come renewal time for the fabia as it will be remaining relatively standard. Although I've already started looking for mods for it and I haven't even got it yet!

The derby was about £200 to renew this year, but thats down to having 5 years NCB on that. :-o

Its possibly worth waiting till you are 21 to get your own policy. I think 17-20 is bracketed and 21-24 is bracketed as lower risk.

well I must be ancient ...YES insurance for my 1043cc cl breadvan not a mod to be seen like is about £110 for the year ..we live in the sticks tho lol and are positively geriatric lol

pah! brentcare wanted £3000 for my 1.3 cl, thats what flux wanted for my g40!

Just had my renewal through and its dropped £400 too £1100 but thats with 3 points on which have now run out. So hopefully i should go lower.

yep I'm with them 21 no noclaims lowered exhaust sterio induction kit superchip all for a lovley 500 year on a polo gt

When you start paying £320 for a modded g40 and £180 for a 16v lupo that makes you feel old!

:-(

but saying that, points on my licence, an accident, only 3 years no claims and live in a dodgy area.. cant be that bad
