Right got a car

NO TAX

NO MOT

Just got it insured this morning and papers should come through tomorrow

MOT is booked for Thursday

Am i okay to drive it there or would i have to tow it as it will not have road tax

You are leagally allowed to drive the car to the mot testing station, if the mot is tested.

If it fails though, you're not supposed to drive it home.

Agreed - allowed to drive to a pre-booked MOT (just make sure you have the garage phone number to hand, just in case you get pulled, then you can ring them and get them to confirm it)

Or you could even go the whole hog and ring the local plod and tell them in advance - that way your arse is well and truly covered!!

no that's not true.

you're allowed to drive to a pre-booked MOT and then either home again if it fails or to another garage for repair work to be carried out.

What your not allowed to do is drive home with no tax if it PASSES. So make sure there is a post office in walking distance of the garage!
