I have filed away the paperwork for my polo somewhere in the loft and at the moment I cant get to the loft.

So my question is about the 3 year warranty, will it be invalidated if I buy some alloys and skirts and fit them myself?

There are skirts and alloys in the vw catalogue but I dont want to be ripped off and prefer a wider choice.

i was told when i got my polo new 8 yrs ago that anything that failed due to the modifications would not be covered by the insurance

so if you added the alloys and the boot handle failed then it will be covered

but i would double check with VW first as times may have changed

i was told by vw when i get the sideskirts fitted (official vw ones) that it doesnt affect the bodywork warranty who ever does them, also alloys doesnt affect the warranty aslong as they dont damage the vehicle through mis-fitment

also included is the fitting instructions for the side skirts as they are sitting in my living room going to be fitted next week for the polo show :)

vag block exemption means that u can get them fitted antwhere aslong as they are vag parts without affecting the warranty from what I'm lead to beliece that includes servising as long as u use genuine parts the warranty remains valid

just like servicing aslong as u use genuine vw parts and follow a vw service schedule you are ok
