I would not have thought so to be honest but its always best just to check. There only factory bumpers so it should be fine.

Ie i think its wrong also if u like stick gt badges on a 1.0....

Some insurance companies don't mind as they're factory parts, some do and argue that they make the vehicle a higher theft risk due to it looking like a higher spec and more desireable model. Various approachs can yield the required result such as stating they're SE bumpers (same engine size etc as yours) or by stating that you needed new bumpers and could get them cheaper than the originals. Some companies are fine as long as they're declared.

In short (!) the only way to be sure is to contact your company and ask.

"back int' day" when i was a lad and i worked for an insurance company, (lol only quit in jan) i remember someone once put gsi or sri bumpers on their vectra halfway through their policy,

i had to list it as a modification to cover him, however there were two options for that type of modifications on the systems we used.... "body kit" or "sports bumpers".if listed as a "body kit", as with diff wheels etc, you are also then asked how much the cosmetic enhancing modifications cost (eg. between £0-250, £250 -1000, £1000-1500 etc.)

when i listed them down as "sports bumpers", with the GSI it didnt continue to ask for a price range on the cosmetic enhancements...which tells me its unlikely to affect the premium.... think this has happened on more than one occasion, but done quote me. (no pun intended!)

depending on your insurer, they should list them down as sports bumpers cos thats what they are... and like i said, in my case it didn't result with an increase in premium. (cant say it wont for you tho... but if it does, the increase is unlikely be as much as it would if it is listed down as a body kit)

(bodykit includes any thing from side skirts, AND bumpers, so there could be overlap in distinguishing between the two... so make sure u ask them to list it down as sports bumpers if they have the option as opposed to body kit because thats what they're not...)
