Comments:

This Coupe was bought as my first car back in February 2006 with love at first sight. I learnt to drive in this car and have used it as the guinea pig of everything I know so far. The car is set to finally finish at 'fast road' tune, and it's not far from it right now.

I knew absolutely nothing (much) about cars back when I first got this coupe, but not far over two years later I've got ahead of my own game, with the modifications listed being added to a car which was bare standard to begin with. I put a lot of effort into preparing and what's gone on so far, and with consistent agreeable advice from certain individuals of the club and extra helping hands from mates, the car has come a fair way in my eyes.

Really lovely car Danny (Lee?) Looks to be in great original condition which is very refreshing too.

Get those Webers on ASAP, along with a GT cam, the 4 branch s/s manifold with decent (quiet) system and deffinately a GT box.

Excellent work so far, keep the pics and progress reports coming.

Very sensibly and nicely modifed Polo.

Cheers,

Richard.

'Fraid not, matey - I'm switching to Mahle's at some point and selling the RA's, but cheers anyway.

come on dan, you cant keep up waiting on these DCOEs for ever. are you converting to an electronic fuel pump? if so are you going to wire up a cut off so that the fuel pump stops as the engine does (if it stalls)?

I shall buy another mk2 one day. :-(

Perhaps I may sell my Lupo Sport for a Lupo TDi and use the left over money for a mk2 Coupe S and start all over again.

It won't take your breath away, but I think only a G40 would be quicker in the mk1/2/3 stakes.
