Comments: Well I'd spent a couple of years saving half my wages + extra birthday money etc for a GTI. When I finally had the cash ready it took me around 4 months to find this one. I initially was against silver (wanted Red then Black) but this one had leather, had only done 29k and had been serviced every 5k. I bet 15 other people who wanted to buy this car off the last owner! Since I've had the car I've also replaced worn parts such as interior trim and had some of the bodywork touched up (aerial seal replaced, boot handle repainted, etc). Making a point of making sure the car is well maintained and the oil is changed every 5k miles max. For progress and more detailed updates on my car, check out my blog in the link at the bottom of the page :)

(Apoligies for buggering the thread up a little, forgot to read the sticky :( *doh*)

Can't remember the site where I got the CDA, but it was around £150. If you have a browse around the internet, don't pay more than that. I'm currently waiting on somebody to get back to me on coilovers

come on mouse, wheres the pic of your sexy leather interior :unibrow:

looking good though, should be looking very sweet indeed with the new coilies on and a few little touches

Do you mind showing us some pics of the engine bay? Nice ride!

Is the BMC CDA better than say your average K&N?

Also do you have the cold air feed because I heard it's important to have one coupled with the air filter otherwise you might actually see a performance drop.

Haven't had a K&N so couldn't tell you, though most people would tell you a BMC is what to go for. As shown in the pic, I've just connected the black tube I got with the kit, onto the original cold air feed for the time being

Ahhh ok. See K&N's were quite common so I naturally thought they were the biz but BMC's what i'll go for.

Is it better to get an after market cold air feed too? - I thought they were included in the inducition kit... it is called an induction 'kit' after all hehe

I'm afraid that black piping is all you get. To be honest I was a little disappointed they didn't give you more

I'd recommend it. Sound quality is a big improvement with standard speakers and the screen maybe small but it's very sharp. You can get the double DIN version for £200 more. I went against it because it's more attractive to thieves, the DVD player was just a novelty really so no need for a big screen and I like the storage space with the single DIN ;)

Yer i agree. If you dont mind me asking where did you get it from and how much i have seen them going for around £399!

What's really good about it also is the blue light blends in
