Was wonderin what you guys are payin 4 insurance and what you think the best companys to go with are?!

had a GT coupe myself as my first car. on my own policy, 17, no ncb, full license, mods declared (leather interior, s/s zorst, lowered, alloys), with norwich union i paid £1230 tpf&t but that was with Pass Plus which at the time they gave me a 48% discount for having! even if you dont get that big a discount with it, i would highly recommend pass plus (although i didnt do it properly cos i knew my instructor so he basically let me do waht i wanted), especially for learning motorway driving!

if you go on confussed.com you can get some prices but companys like hic and adrian flux are good for younger drivers i am with hic and i happy with them but i no some people dont like hic

I've got 1yr ncb now tho so its gone down

i've always found endsleigh pretty cheap, especially if you're a student cos they do a discount. I'm paying about £250 on my GT with them (i'm 22 though), and that's without using any no claims bonus (so i've basically got 0 years ncb on it).

If your car's got any mods it's worth trying adrian flux - they were by far the cheapest for me on my G40. I'm paying £540 fully comp for it, but that's using my 5 years no claims bonus.

just shop around really, and it's best to phone and speak to them, it's nearly always cheaper than the online price. also, however much yours is this year it's gonna drop by loads over the next few years, which is always nice to look forward to!

Depends on who you are and where you live etc. For instance, tain had his as a first car and paid less than me who had been driving for 2 years...

I wouldn't rate confused either, they said the lowest I'd get my car was £1200ish. I pay £900...

Brett, you might aswell just try all of the online ones. Confused.com reduces the size, find teh cheaper ones through their search engine then go to the cheapest ones directly to cut out the middle man and his commision

yer its all runnin and workin fine got a mot after changing everything to do with the brakes and tracking rod incl the mot came to bout £300 so aint bad.

and should be gettin my wheels around xmas gettin it lowered in a couple weeks then saving to do the rest all at once like respray and manifolds etc. but need insurance cause aint bought tax for it and its sat outside my house for the last month but insurance aint lookin to good esp. since i live next to some estate called shrublands in croydon (london) where people get there cars nicked reguarly so gonna be a right pain in the arse to get insurance and tax sorted before i get a fine or court apearance!

quinn direct jst passed no ncb or claims etc around £1700

directl line on rents insurance... best option, muisses lil bro paying like 500 fully comp on vtr.....he's 17 no ncb, no pass plus,

.....and you get ncb from that!!!
