mot question

Featured Replies

My car failed the MOT and I am getting the things needed done.

If I return it to the same tester will they only test the repaired items?

Also with the computerised test now ongoing if I take it to another tester will they only test the repaired things as well.

Might seem a silly question but my mates garage could do the retest for me making travelling a bit easier.

thanks in advance

Hi Greg

They only re-test the items that previously failed. I'm sure that you have to take it back to the same tester though.

Great thanks for the input. Its getting done on Wednesday - the cars been off the road for a week :-(

  • 3 weeks later...

My mates car was off the road for 3 months and was tested 5 times lol.

Emissions were too high and they didn't know what the problem was.

Turned out to be a sensor
