So how do i stop it??

I have a Polo GTi (2000) 6n2. How do i reset my imobilisor so my car will start? :(

It's been off the road for 2 weeks now and its doin my head in.

I have clean my throttle body, replaced my starter motor and then i have run VAG com and it has said its the imobiliser. So how do i sort it out then chaps? :)

is it the type with the transponder in the key ? if it is vw had problems for years with he reed coil at one time they recalled the corrado ones and fitted gold coated ones the reed coil is like a doughnut that sits around the ing switch and picks up the signal from the key

see if the polo ones have been recalled

Tho if i do use my key, it unlocks! Just the imobilisor which doesnt disengage :(

take it to an electrictian get hem to rip out the immobiliser i mean you dont really need it. Just another way for you to part with your cash .Mine had the same probs so i got the immobiliser taken out now its beautiful

Can you remove the imobilisor as easy as that?

My polo mk4 1.9d cl imobilisor has crippled the fuel pump,

and the garage people do not know how to reset it?

I would gladly remove it if I could (the less there is, the less can go wrong!)

regards mike (new 2 polos, mine ran 4 3 weeks before this hic-up)

ps garage guy says cost £££££'s to refit 2nd hand pump and would still need

to 'key it in!
