Hi i was going a long a 30 limit area, i have never seen a mobile camera unit there. So i was going about 35mph. I then spotted a mobile unit so i pushed my brakes pretty hard. I still think that the camera has clocked me going at 35. Do you think I'm definately going to get a ticket???

I'm not too bothered about the fine, but the points I'm so pissed off!

Is there anything i can do?

Dude, 35 is like a definate ticket, but if you like me thought u was doing 35, but with a digital speedo would really be doing 33, then you'll be sweet!but then even34 and 35 sometimes just means £30 fine, and you go to this day courses on why you shouldn't speed! you'll hear from them within like 3 weeks.

depends on you're council, in northampton you can go 10% the speed limit plus 2 so 35 would be borderline here

When I got pulled for speeding in a 30 they were only pulling people over that were doing 42+, this was a cop with a gun though and not an automated camera.

Agree with above - Depends how the threshold is set on the camera. In my opinion, it could go either way, so keep £70 set aside for a few weeks.

i'd doubt u'd get done at 35, more like 37 and your guarenteed.....but i think you'll be fine mate. even if your speedo said 35, its more realistic that you were going 33, or less.

Really depends on what the camera is set at, my Gf got done for doing 36 in a 30 limit on a dual carriageway(fixed camera), bit harsh i thought...

If they're going to prosecute you, they have to send out a Notice of Prosecution(NIP) within 14 days of the offence, so give it 16/17 days & you'll know fella.............. it'll be the longest couple of weeks of your life...
