insurance again - do brakes count?

hi all.

doing a Mk2 8v gti setup on my GT, wondering if i should declare, or in case of an accident, plead ignorance! will use all OEM parts except for braided hoses....

Yes.

you have to declare absolutely everything to the insurance companies. Although it's a bit of a piss take if they increase your premium for putting better brakes on.

yeah but they put the premiums up with brakes on the basis that you may be driving faster, because a standard car will have acceptable brakes for normal driving.
