Embo 1.8Ts Mk3 1043 {*UPDATED*}

Featured Replies

Model:Mk3

Engine:1043 SPI

Suspension: Philj kit

Brakes: Standard

Wheels and Tyres: Compos/ 195/45/13 Continentals

Exterior Styling: Buggered? Clear indicators, debadged grill, side strips removed soon to go back on, big dent in rear quarter....

Interior Styling: Damp?

ICE and Security: None

Comments: Bought car for grand some of a few hundred big ones. I'm only 16, so its my first car, not on the road till January 1st, so I'm starting early. It goes in for both rear quarters to be resprayed on monday after dent has been repaired. Rear tailgate being debadged smoothed and sprayed at the same time. Susepnsion goes on on friday. New interior and headlining go in on saturday. G40 arch kit wanted. ICE needed. Looking at a GT engine this sunday, hope to throttle body it and slap it in when insurance allows...although, i have seen a 16v mk2 golf lump in a mk3 so would like to attempt an 8v G60 conversion when money and age allows. Possibly a black roof? Thoughts on that appreciated!

luks like you got it planned out

Skip the G60 conversion, wouold be cheaper to fit an AFH 1,4L 16v and tune it, rather than fit a G60

Yeah, philjs old wheels they are. Just slapped on his suspension kit yesterday....pain in the arse! fronts took around 6hrs! bloody seized up crap! Looks the nuts now. Will update photos tomorrow.

Anyway, cleaned it up, it gets its furst run out to a regional meet tomorrow up the road in Patching, West Sussex.

Will get some pictures up.

Cheers

Joe

looks great whats it lowerd by?

Alright mate, I love those comps.

I used to have a set that sat in my garage. Sold them to a guy who put them on a mk2 polo saloon for £100 (bought for £40, bargain!), little did I know that 18mths later I would have a red mk2 saloon!

I think I spied them in Phils garage when I picked up the seats.

Next on my list is one of Phils lowering kits, probably 70/60.

Adam

P.S. I can't drive for another 2 years! Bloody annoying isn't it.

  • 1 month later...
