Hello. I don't know how to explain this properly so i'll give an example...

I got my provisional license on 01/01/2003. I insured myself as first driver with a car to learn and continued to use it until I passed. I passed in 2005 and it's now 2006. I sold the car in 2/2/2006 and my insurance ceased with it.

Will that give me 3years NCB or 2years NCB?

Yea I think it'd be 3 as wel.

Ok well I got the paper proof now so i'll see what happens but I imagine I have to call up because with the online quotes, it asks what type of license I have - Full UK, then it says how long.

Now i've only had my full license for 1year but provisional (with insurance) for 2years so I can't really say 3years, if you know what I mean.

Would probably be easier to just ring your insurance company and get them to send notice of your NCB
