most insurance companies seem to let you drop 40mm without it upping your premiums. Probably not all of them, but i know several of the major ones do.

if you're doing more than just a few minor mods it's best to go through a specialist company such as adrian flux. None of the main insurers would quote me as the G has quite a few mods, but with adrian flux it's only just over £400 fully comp.

Brentacre are really good with mods too.

I've just done my second year with more than and they are not bothered unless you are making you are car quicker which is ideal so alloys and springs for me lol
