has anyone else done this and if so did you just fill the holes or make a blank to go in its place ?

cant really be done.

there are holes and raised areas.

also the glass ends suddenly.

generally it doesnt look good in my opinion.

but yes a few bungs will work

seing all mk3 coupe's have rear spoilers, i think a mk3 coupe needs it's rear spoiler

mk2 Scirocco's ended up with spoilers because of the rear end lifting at high speed & if you braked hard they span

Audi TT suffered the same when it came out....thats why they were recalled.......they fitted a spoiler & modded the rear suspension

well I doubt it's got anything to actually do with aerodynamics but yes every mk3 coupe boot has a spoiler on it. They look a mess if you take them off because the entire boot lid was designed to have it on in the first place.

i did it this afternoon . made a blank up, i think it looks pretty good for a first atempt. ill post up some pics tommorrow. dewipered it at the same time and i also have a smooth plinth to go on aswell.

The holes after i took it off just look like rawlplugs, propper shit.

what do you think, ia going to run a bit of black sealent in the gap between the blank and the top of the window.

It looks tidy enough but personally I prefer them with the spoiler in place.

looks good but i agree, spoiler has to stay even though its a pain in the arse to clean under at times!

its what ever grates your cheese i supose, its growing on me more an more. going to make an improved version this week.

what ever you like but i dont like that really what id like is a slightly longer one that looks same as the standard one.

Big for effort though. Looks a tidy job.

I like it - looks clean. Not sure about other features,like the black windows,mudflaps etc but i like the tailgate would suit a clean,slammed car.
