just a quick question, what size were the speakers in your dash... i wanna get some for mine soon... cuus the original ones rattle their tits off with high bass... and yeh, looks ace! :p

about the speakers...i just put some 10cm in mine and i had to hack the dash a bit to get them to fit...i was just wonderin if there is any scubbage coz i want mine 60/40 but that looks awesome! i like the filler cap looks random!

the speakers are 4inchers. i had to do a little bit of fine trimming to get them in but they fit snugly. the filler cap is chalk board paint n it was an idea from a mate n a trip to bnq. might paint some more of the car with the chalk paint dunno where yet though

hi can i ask how did you remove your rubbing strips, did you need to do any body work after or was it just a clean up?

WD-40 and a rag. Takes time but works. Make sure you wash it off well afterwards though as WD-40 can damage your paint (apparently).

just thought i would give an update on how my car looks now. latest additions include:

*new number plates (pressed ones with a german D on them)

*new front wing (old one was rusted to death)

*side repeaters removed ( well one the otha one to go)

*new spoke mk1 gti alloys

*new seats (mini buckets subframes in the process of being fabricated)

*8 ball gear knob

*new cdplayer

*debadged grille

*clear side reapeaters

yeah they are in n looking sweet. will get some pics up when i get round to it. i can imagine they wont be that comfy on a long trip tho!!!!

very nice mate what exhaust is that and it looks very low in the first set of pics?? (the actual exhaust pipe nt the rear box)??

the exhaust pipe is the standard pipe from the system with a bit of pipe off another polo system that i got a t a scrappy. i just chopped off the old box and basically rewelded it on to the pipe myself using the other bits of pipe to square it up n make it the right length. i also used the original bracket off the standard box and welded it onto another bracket to hold the box up.
