A few things planned. Rear spoiler to go on... I've gone back to the orange repeaters and indicators for now.. I didnt have the g40 door cards or carpet but picking them up very soon. it may be lowered at some point but I'm supprised how harsh the ride is I'll be despecing it a little, removing rear speakers and removing some excess weight.

the engine is standard at the moment but there may be a few mods soon, nothing too drastic. I may even bring this one along to the rr day instead of the other polo.

can i see some pic's of yours please petrified???

theres a german bloke whose got one in that colour and has repainted it lovely in that colour mmmm - however i kinda developed the car in a different way

Updated pic of the loon, a lot has happened since now and when the thread started. I have updated some details above but will probably keep this thread a bit more updated now :-)

I think it looks a bit better now than it dd 4 years ago when I first got it!

Never did fit the rear spoiler. 1) I either lost/sold/stored it 2) I'm not sure it would improve the car at all. Although the door cards/carpet and other things were done.

The car is pretty much turning into a G40 look alike. Going to swap from 185/55/14 to 195/45/14 at least on the front to stop the scrubbing.

Not sure what to do on the rear end yet. Really want to find that spoiler again. hope I didnt sell it at some point

Not sure what to do on badges either. Behind the PoloCL Classic badge there are 3 pins. I'm not sure if anything else used these as the coupe POLOCL/GT/G40 all used 2 pins. Guess I could always just use one and stick the rest down. Not sure whether to add G40 badges or go for the coupe script Polo CL badge.

A pic of the spoiler too think this was taken around 5 years ago It's not fitted and because of the bolts sitting too high on the bootlid, but you get the idea. I cant seem to find many pics of mk3's with spoilers. plenty of mk2's tho and its the same part.

the pins on the back should be from the polo cl catlyst script bud mine has the same three holes but my script is still there and why go down the g40 route everyone seems to go that route

The 3 pin holes are just from the PoloCL Classic badge. I was just wondering if there were any other badges that used 3 pins as the coupe badges all seem to use 2 pins.

As for the G40 route. I guess it's just the way it ended up. I like it

get that spoiler found dude i really want to see a red saloon with 1 on i nearly bought 1 other week but was unsure you haven't got any spare rear lights for a saloon av you mines in need of some also cant belive u have a g40 trim i thought i was the only person to put a g40 interior into a saloon time for a change :):)

The pic of the spoiler was from 5-6 years ago. Must have been the last time I saw it and that is a different saloon still, will have a good look for it over next weekend. The current one had a G40 interior put in around 4 years ago now. It's a bit rough but it's not like there are many new ones around. It currently has the rear stripped out though as I'm trying to sort a few things out on it. Looks a bit better with more of a nose down stance. Ideally I would raid the car a little 20mm on the front and 40mm on the rear but I have more important things to throw money at for the time being.
