1.the halo rings are not illegal - they are substitue sidelights i.e when night falls your going to have your dipped beam on anyway

2. straight throughs can be illgal but it all depends on how noisey it is and the emmision levels as to wheather your is illegal or not.

3. so long as the number plate is lit and visible at night it is legal

cheers chaps

agree with what has been said so far with the possible exception of this question. if the screws are, as I imagine, screws with little coloured LEDs in them.. then they must be red to be legal. any other colour is not. They would have to be white to be used legally on the front, and while I'm on the subject.. lights on the side of a vehicle need to be amber

that's my understanding of extra external lights anyway :)

i think with external lights any colour apart from the indicators, headlights and taillights is illegal. This is only applies when the vehicle is moving, when you've stopped you could have a nightclub shining from your car and they cant do anything.

Yup don't want people thinking someone is braking and coming towards them at 70mph at the same time.

The real question is why do you want screws which light up? :retard:

amber light can be visible front, rear and side.

Are we talking about bolts that light the plate up from the side of the bolt, or bolts that shine a light backwards?

If it's the ones that shine a light back, they're not illegal in principle, but can be due to excessive brightness.

If we're talking about a superbright LED, I'll gladly take a clawhammer to your back plate. Try looking at them in a low light through the visor of a bike helmet.

does any one no what the limit is for how noisey an exhaust can be?

Dont quote me on this but i think 86db. The only way to measure is with a db counter. The mot testers test them on what they think is louder than nescerary to there descretion. Police can do you for noise pollution at there descretion also.

i have a smooth boot and want to move the numero plate onto my 16v bumper only prob is the lights, so I've been told you can get bolts to hold the number plate on and shine a light back onto the plate.

only prob is i went to local elecy shop and he said they wer illegal

any ideas also does any one no where i can get a set

halfrauds...btt if you just mount one of your old numberplate lights and fit it on the sly somewhere in the bumper...isn't that hard and you're covered inthe legality side of things!

Motorbike shop - you use them when you fit a tail tidy on most bikes.
