my car got broken in to on tuesday they smashed my drivers side window and stole my stereo but i decided not to claim on my insurance as it would cost me more in the long run, but i did take out glass cover and claiming on this dosnt affect my no claims bonus All i have to pay is £50 exess, i took it in to get fixed to RAC windscreens but they have just phoned me saying they cant fix it as my window mechanism is broken (ooops i didnt know honestly :ninja: ....) anyway they have ordered the part and say my car will be ready 2 moro BUT QUESTION IS do i still only have to pay £50 or will they want me to pay for the mechanism now??? cuz i no the mechanisms from vw are a fortune and frankly i dont have the money

well if you ask the garage nicely they can say to the insurers that some glass got into the mechanism causing it to fail, right? wink wink

they are like gold dust in aberdeen cant get them anywhere apart from vw and they come with the manufacters price tag lol
