Balls.. :|

i agree.....Group 8

my mk1 Golf Driver is in the same group.....bit silly seeing its only the 60bhp 1.3 in it

Yeah group 8. silly really i think as the car goes down in size so does the insurance group.

great example being the polo and lupo gti's also my 100bhp lupo sport is only a group6 insurance, and the seat equivalent is a group lower again.

Groupings are very subjective though, don't go too much by them. My group 14 Camry V6 is no different to insure than my old group 8 escort.

where you lives affects it aswel

remember there are MANY other factors that will affect your premium and not JUST the insurance group of the car. get some quotes.. you may find yourself pleasantly surprised.. if you thought it would sillly money.

For instance - my 1st year cost me 1400quid on a 1.3 genesis

my 2nd year cost under a grand with LOADS of mods on a GT... I know i'm still getting a bit raped but to get it under a k with finance considering i'm a young male driver with a modified car which says GT on the back... i'm happy enough. 1years NCB works wonders!

just realised yeti kinda mentioned this already..
