You will need to get it transported. Your insurance is void if it isn't mot'd - you can't expect them to pay out on a car that may not be safe for the road! And if you got stopped you would get raped by the po-lice, before they took your car and maybe crushed it.

As far as i am aware.

Is it UK registered?

why not tax the car drive it home then get a tax refund. save alot of money on transporting

Book it in for an MOT in Dover (or wherever)?

i guess you could, i think its folkestone cos thats where the Le Shuttle comes in at

how about just renting a trailer and driving it back, I'm sure one of your cars has a trailer bar thing

You would need to have an MOT booked at the nearest MOT station to your point of entry.

yeah but what country is the car registered in?

I mean will a garage MOT a car that has French plates on it and hasnt been registered in this country?

its UK registered, and the french do not have mot's. they have a similar thing called a technical contol, but its no where as strict as an mot
