Black 1991 J reg Polo GT Coupe
(Eugene)

Well i have only had him since the middle of January, but so far here is a spec and some piccys:

* G40 Interior
* BBS RA's (To go on soon)
* Smoked rear lights & side repeators
* Clear front indicators
* Still on standard suspension at the moment
* Remus back box (quiet as a mouse!)
* Pink interior lights!! (a work in progress to get them right, still got clocks to do)
* Pink Dice :p
* Mannix Remote start alarm












The body work still needs a bit of a tidy up, could probably do with a new boot lid too, but apart from that I'm really happy with it

Yeah, and you best keep it shiney Mr, you mucky it when using it for work and you will be cleaning it :p

We all have different tastes in cars, and what we like and dont like, obviously some of my opinions are diffrent to yours.

''the pink looks purple'' - It was hard to get a decent pic on my phone, but purpley pink will do me - better than green

''try cleaning under the skirts'' - Hadnt noticed i missed them! so thankyou for that, will be cleaning at the weekend definatly!

''get german plates'' - there Illegal, no good for everyday use

Not with Gold ones though - Silver :p

Getting them refurbished fully before putting them on the car, i wanted to get them Pink but think i best stick with silver, or maybe chrome

Just ringing round some places now to get quotes on refurbs

i personaly hate ra's they look pooooo but :) might look nice if u get them sorted

av seen a few chromed sets/ mirror spolished they look ok. dark grey would be cool i think.. if u look at ste 9n2's car the black and grey works well even though it is a new polo

it dont look that bad each to their own should get the lighter socket matching too! how long does it take to change the light like that ?

The only way to change the cigarette lighter is to go to the scrap yard and find an old Audi A80 i think it is?? (Ask Rae for confirmation on that one

they have a clear plastic bit rather than the green one. in which case i can paint the plastic pink.

So i will definatly be doing that at some point!

actually I used the red cigarette lighter out of a seat when I did mine in my golf.

I'd say paint the Ra's black, polish the outer lip.

get rae to do it, it's actually a lot easier than you'd think to refurb wheels. for example

Has the paint faded much ? I got a black mk3 GT and the paint was pretty far gone, I've got a 1992 golf which I'm putting a VR in and the paints gone on that.

the only bad bit is the boot as its been resprayed at one point and it just looks a right mess!

The RAs black with chrome i think that would look quite good. although i am in 2 minds as to weather to just keep them silver like they are suppose to be

As for refurbishing them myself (or Rae) thats a no go I'm affraid, they dont just need respraying then need dints and kurbing taking out of them. found soemwhere that does all that and powder coats them for £32.50 a wheel which aint too bad!

Lol i knew where the name came from, just that i was curious to why some people name cars thats all. I'm 28 years old mate, i dont name cars, :biggrin: last time i named a car i was probably pedaling it.

kurbing comes out easily, just takes some time and effort.

Ah for £30 might as well get it done profesionally! they are also insured for 12 months then too :)
