if i tax my car online, i presume that I'm not going to have to wai for the insurance certificate to come through the post?

also if this is the case, am i allowed to drive the car straight after it has been taxed or do i have to wait for the tax disc to arrive?

u dont have to wait for the insurance to come inn the post and u can drive as soon as u have do it online what i did was print out the thing they email u and if the police pull u over show then that and say the tax is in the post!

if you already have tax and waiting for the new 1 to come thru you will be ok.

but if your taxing it for the 1st time in ges it might be better to wait, but i think it should be ok.

look on the dvla site it will tell you

It should arrive quite quickly though :) I taxed the Arosa online, and the disk arrived about a week later

paid for it am wednesday, received am thursday

i taxed my car online a few weeks ago and it caused me lots of problems, one i had brought the tax disc but it was sent to the last owner because he did not send the log book to the dvla, so i was driving with tax but no tax disc, i got pulled several times despite me telling the coppers the story, etc so in the end i had to buy another tax disc and buy £19 for the log book to be update to me....the funny thing was this was about 2-3 weeks ago and at 12.30am last nite on the way back from work i got pulled by the police because the car was still under the last owners details etc.....i was given a producer, and well i just sorted it out a few hours ago at the police station. so for me i think its best to go the post office might take a little more time but at least then you get the disc in your hand!!
