how much do quinn put your premium up by for your mods?

norwich union-

alloys- 10%

exhaust- 10%

window tint- 10%

lowered- 10%

induction kit- 5%

and aparently putting projector headlights is not classed as a modification, u just have to notify them.

only big engine mods! ie turbo/transplant etc

100%. declare it. you may aswell not have insurance other wise !!

If you phone Quinn prior to getting a car they say they do not insure, modified cars, cabs, sports car etc.

Once you have insurance if you then phone them and say oh I want to add coilovers, whees, ice, bumpers they dont mind.

Its only if its an engine mod that they increase the premium.

the chips go inside the ECU, so I would say dont declare it.

really looking forward to getting insured with them in april. got a quote for £687 tpft with 4 years no claims and pass plus.

i'm with quinn and i rang them up asking about mods i was told to get the engineers report form filled out that you print from there website regarding what you have done to the car basically to ensure its still roadworthy i assume?

phoned earlyer to declare wheels,lowered 60mm and an exhust system

she said there would be no increase in premium but they would need an engineers report...bassically i just need to get the local garage to stamp it and say its alright

I'm £1033 with quinn direct for a modded GT with no NCB.

When i mentioned my mods they sent out a form that i had to get signed by whoever fitted the suspension (me lol) but I think the price is pretty good for lowered, alloys, de-cat, exhaust, chip.

I'd go with them, unless you have NCB and try Adrian Flux.

has anyone ever done a gt conversion with quinn direct? I need to know how it will affect my policy but they cant tell me without an engineers report....and I don't fancy doing the swap then putting it all back when they tell me its going to cost me loads..

i just got on the phone to them and asked if i could lower my car 40 mil on springs and they said it will probably increase your premium so ill have to fill in a form to find out if it will or not.hope it doesnt though cuz its expensive enough already!

they want an engineerers report form before they change the premium.

I filled one out and sent a cover note saying this is 'the plan'

In the description of the modification i wrote

'cone filter with non standard tubing'
