looks like youve been busy mate. not to my liking as I'm not into ICE but it will be nice for you to sort out the car for when you pass your test. just remember that this 'top of the range' head unit stuff and amps etc are weighing the little thing down and as a 1 litre you could do with it being as light as possible. anyway we all got to start somewhere and i can remember how excited i was to get driving, so enjoy the build and look forward to driving it!

Cheers Dan thanks for the advice but i think the subs will stay as i love the bass . yer i cant wait till i can drive properly and get out need about its going to be wicked. i am realy enjoying the build but working as a mechanic and going to collage theres not alot of dosh to support the things i want to do to her, but its crusing along slowly. cant wait to drive her on the road as driving in and out the shed is not very exciting.

I'm liking it so far, just one thing you gotta do.... DROP IT!! lol sitting 4x4 at the min just like mine lol. Supercharged spaniel has a point about the ICE weighing it down but just remember these things weigh 770 kilos standard which is still 200 kilos lighter than the 1.0 litre Corsa's I'd say half your mates will soon have!! Besides it would take at least all the soundsystem and a lot of MDF to make up the weight of a person so just dont overcrowd the car lol.

You're on the same boat as me I've got my little 1.0 coupe sitting outside but at the minute I've spent every penny on the car and socialising/drinking/girls and need to repeat my theory and get it on the road!! Just dont get carried away modding the car and forget to do your test etc, cos before you know it your cars been sitting 6 months and you still haven't even considerin doin the test!! (my sister gave me that advice lol)

i know i know it has to go low. I'm saving up for a kit now and should be able to aford it by end of feb.

its funny u should say that i had my dad, step mum and me plus the boot install in it the other day and u noticed the lack of performance up hills  I am thinking of reducing it to just one more powerful sub as the boot space is handy.

i did my theory way back in oct last year and booked my test in november and couldent get one untill 24th jan and sad to say i failed on a very stupid little thing which I'm realy bumed about, but have booked next one for 10th march so will be on the road then.

cheers

Nice one, good luck on the test then mate!! I'm trying to get mine ASAP too. Will be dropping my coupe today and sorting out the arrangements for a bigger engine, that's where we're different but the same...

People say dubbing is all about being slow and low..... I'm intending to be low and stupidly fast lol

hi

the red air filter was a cheep and chearful one from ebay i haven't a clue what make it was may have been savage but not sure.

i didnt have the original filter in at the same time but so it wasnt drawing un filtered air from the exhaust bit i blocked the vacuum pipe. But it made no difference to the sound it made the pipercross filter and setup is much better, i think.

Cars looking good, i got a question though.

When you put in the new clocks how do you connect the rev meter? Doesnt look like yours had one originally

Theres a polo at my local scrappers and i was thinking of taking the clocks but I'd assume theres not just a wire for it.

Hi m8

Loving the car, lookin good. Like what you have done Induction kit wise. I too have a mk3 1.0L, and was wondering if you have noticed any difference with the new induction kit (apart from sound that is).

Have you considered putting a chip in the car from POLOACE?

Cheers

cheers mate, glad u like it.

the clocks came off a GT and the rev counter worked straight away no wires nessarry. However because the GT ran at a higher oil pressure the light and buzzer keeped coming on so i whipped out the light and buzzer and fitted a oil pressure guage. But if u dont want as much hassal i suggest u try and fit a aftermarket rev counter.

this is nice car mate, where did u get the neons from and what sort of fitting do they require?

cheers mate,

well there is most definitely the noise

i didnt realy notice any performance increase but I'm sure it has added a few bhp if it went on a rolling road.

no i haven't thought about a chip, wont it F up the fuel econmy tho?
