iv done my pass plus now and thats helped a bit 2 of the clams were silly both only come to about £150 i payed via cash but the police told me i need to tell my insurers

how low did you say your car was to elephant? i need to phone them tommroow?

less than 5cm i have only got 5months left she all so asked me why i got it lower i told her i broke a spring and VW quoted £110not fitted for a new set and the lower ones were only £55 i got them fitted at a workshop as well.

i had heard that elephant wont insure lower than 5cm.. do you have alloys on too?

its only lower 4mm/4cm and yes iv got alloys but there the standard hockenheims.

its crap my mate has a fully kitted up 205 and he pays no more with the co-op for mods unless they add BHP i am gutted ross plz can you let me know what they tell you if you do not mind.

Your policy seems very pricey. I'm 20 with a couple a claims and Admiral (almost the same) want bout fifty quid a month. Thats on a mk2 coupe S or mk2 Loon with same engine. Almost a ton extra for shocks seems excessive to me. I mean your car will finally drive safely!!

I may just keep it i don't want to losses 4months.

i'm with quinn, i've had mine lowered and all they asked for was a reprot from the garage to basically say the cars still road worthy they also dont care about other mods unless you have increase the bhp as far as i'm aware

i'd definitley give them a call when your insurance is up, i'm 18 and paying £500 on my 1.4 8v was by far the cheapest for me

I'm with elephant. I'm 19 with no claims and 1 years NCB. I was paying about £620ish fully comp on my GT and then i lowered it, wheels and induction kit and they wanted £90 for the lot. Not bad considering i have 9 months left on the ploicy too. So now i'm paying £710 with everything declared.

And yes you are correct, elephant will not insure you if it's lowered more than 50mm.

try an extra 1k, for lower than 2cm

mines 180 for the fezza! and thats pretty much standerd apart from alloys and sub
