After just doing my quote i qould sudjest it being best to wait so you can say your that bit older i no it really make little differeance if your 2weeks 2days or what ever as its all down to expericance really.

When it comes to renewal, try and ditch direct line if that is the case. I hear brenacre and adrian flux are your best bet for modifed cars

Hi max...i'm just 18 and driving a subtly modded White polo... I have just insured a mk4 1.4 8v with ENDSLEIGH,they quoted me £1066 AS STANDARD TPF&F, i then told them that i was "PLANNING"(nudge nudge Wink wink ;) to lower it 40mm, sports back box, alloy wheels with locking nuts, add splitter, spoiler, etc and the new premium was.... £1066!!!

The only thing that changed was that my excess would go from £100 to £150....They said as long as i run all the mods i was "planning" to do past them and they couldn't see problem with it!!

I then told them i was planning to dump a 1.8T 20v into my mark 4....they said that would not effect the premium....ONLY JOKING :D ...but the rest was spot on!

They are also based at young people an students...so if you've done pass plus, etc then it will do you alot of favours!!

I have been well impressed with them and its defo worth having a look at them m8!!!

unfortunately, the only bad thing with them, that i experienced was that CS can be complete tits, and n00bs talking down to you sometimes, my problem was that my bank was screwing around with DD payments, and then endsleigh kindly backdated them to a date which was impossible to rectify! [what they did was send me a letter saying that i had till the 13th august to sort the DD or pay etc, but it was just gone the 20th of august :doubt: ]

so just pay in 1 go, and you should be fine!

If I am right, Direct line won't insure if you are under 25 and declaring mods.

Admiral insurance do it and they are cheap, was an extra £10 to insure alloys on my 200sx.

I'm just 18, and adrian flux put me onto a company who said itd cost me 3grand on my 1.0l polo, n they said i had 2 raise my car up to 30mm as thats all theyd insure. so I'm with a company through lancaster insurance, I've got coilovers, wider wheels and wider tyres all declared, plus i have 3 points, and i had an accident claim against me, n they insured me for 2200! so id give them a try mate, hope that helps. Good luck! Rob

endsligh are good untill you make a claim

6 MONTHS TILL I GOT MY MONEY!!!!

luckily my old man had a runaround i could borrow for a while otherwise i would have been buggered :D

How are you 17 with 1 years NCB ?
