Featured Replies

Elephant have quoted me £660 meaning I've saved £190 with a years no claims. That me been driving almost 3.5 years with 2 years NCB. Admiral are cheapest at £640. This is with mods declared. Tried Adrain Flux who wanted £950! Any other good places?

Checked Admiral again and it went up to £643. Elephant had a quote online for £642.85 so just went with them again.

Norwich Union wanted £950. Did another two quotes (can't remember the companies) and they wanted over £1000! Admiral wanted £600.60 so phoned them up but they don't do mods under 25

Try Brentacare Mouse. Mine was about £500 with all my mods declared. 6 Years NCB.

Wouldn't use Norwich union any more. since they made all there uk call centre workers redundant and set up in India.

My renewal is half of what I'm paying now with Quinn Direct. £610, I'm 19 with 1 years NCB, all mods declared on a GT.

Bad thing is that its only TPF&T, so I'm on the hunt for a FC quote.

I got a quote from them the other day, 22, 5ys NCB, they said they couldn't even get it below a grand on TPFT! Ended up going with Swinton last night TPFT - NCB protected for £653, still expensive for a standard G with 5 yrs NCB! All insurance is a rip!

Not only that, certain insurance company employees actually trawl internet motoring forums to catch people who insure there modified cars as standard. I have had knowledge off a friend of a friend that there is a bonus scheme running for every policy invalidated that an employee searches out for a certain insurance company! So beware - there could be an insurance employee reading this very thread and saying ahhhh thats another one....

Not a great likelyhood that they will be able to match up a user to a policy holder though unless they regularly post pics of there cars up, listing the modifications lol.
