Got a defect form for no front plate fair enough... take it to an mot station to get it stamped

That's the normal one. When I had one for having a bulb out I renewed the MOT for £35 instead, and took that in. The lass on the front desk wasn't too happy, but I never got a comeback.

well this was a shit back street garage next to me so i didnt know if he was taking piss or not. ill take it to some were bigger later

at the end of the day its a crap system as its ment to be an embossed stamp and Mot stations don't have them anymore, as its computerised. If you look around some garages will not charge you, at the end of the day they are allowed to charge for there time, but say to them that £10 is a little steep for 2 minutes of their time. I had one last week and my local garage didn't charge.

My mate had his rear plate behind tinted glass (green civic, tinted windows)

Police told him to get the thing stamped to say it was ok

He crashed his car the next day so couldnt drive it to get the thing looked at

So we put his plates on my car (white civic, no tints lol) and took it to this peugeot dealer

They looked at the rear plate, asked us why they pulled him over and he told them that he just didn't have it on the car at the time and they stamped it
