Reading this thread has made me realise how damn lucky i've been with my insurance quotes! I passed last March, so i was 17 and a new driver. I got insured on a 2000 Seat Arosa 1.4 SE for £830 fully comp! This year when i renewed my policy it was £740 with 1 NCB. Just brought a 1996 VW Polo 1.4SE and i got a quote and it was only £688 with 1NCB.

I also got a 10 month Bonus accelerator so after 10months i got my first NCB, they are doing the same again for my second year so i would have been driving 1 year and 8months and already have 2 NCB!

Quotes are also effected by your postcode. My postcode also happens to be a class A postcode which is one of the top! I suppose being female doesnt go a miss either. lol.

Just to put it in pespective i can get insured on a Evo 6 turbo for £1600 thats less than some of you are getting insured on for a 1.4 polo!!

Thanks for that! :tear:

awww I'm sorry, but i just don't understand how some people's insrance can be huge whereas others in the same situation find themselves having insurance ALOT less!

Everybody should just cut their cock off, then they'll get cheap insurance eh?

I want an evo too, could probably afford the insurance - just not the car! haha. 13,000 to insure an evo? JESUS! lol. I'm 19 in june and should have my second years no claims by November! GET IN, even cheaper insurance for Rhian! :-D

A girl i know past her test 3weeks ago, wrote her 1st car off 4days later. She has another car and yesterday picked my missus up for lunch, leaving the car park hit a BMW and summin else but drove off. (slightly damaged)

The mounted the kerb on the oppisite side of the road !!!!

Wen dropping her home after work went up 2more kerbs and knockedover two wheely bins at the end of the drive!!

I agree why girls have cheaper insurance

NOT

Jeez, don't crash lol

If you do have an accident in your first year... Wave goodbye to driving!

Can't imagine what the quote would be like, 18, 1 accident living in bolton :retard:

Fair point but you can't say men haven't done something equally as bad??

  • 3 weeks later...

Now that you come to mention it.. One fine day in 1992 i passed my test, bought insurance and tax with a mate (£525+£50),we got in my Ford Escort 1.3L and about twenty minutes later, having driven 10.9 miles,i crashed heavily at 65mph. The accident wasnt my fault, but still.

Can't imagine what the quote would be like, 18, 1 accident living in bolton :retard:

That's why I slightly caress the accelerator pedal with my tip toes, and nothing more. Managed to get through my first year ok though!

Insurance for me was around the £500 mark fully comp for my mk5 1.4 polo, although every other insurance company quoted me way over £1k!lol

I am 18 with No NCB but i've been driving for a year.I feel VERY lucky now!lol
