If you do not declare everything to your insurance company your insurance is invalid. That means in the event of an acceident you will be forced to fork out for any damages.

If you can't afford to insure it don't do it. People lying and not having insurance is part of the reason we get raped when we do get insurance.

Yeah you should declare it. It'll be more stupid if you have an accident and they invalidate your policy. Then you'll have paid your standard premium for nothing at all. :/

yes but what kinda things will increase the insurance?

and would there bg anythin that would decrease it??

Who are you insured with?

Some companys wont insure a modded car if you are under 25, everything will put it up, dont think anything will decrease it apart from having NCB's at the end of the day, anything you put on the car, means the insurance will have to pay for in the event of a crash

Pretty much anything that isn't factory on the car will increase your insurance. If you think that you can be careful and get away and not crash doesn't mean someone won't plough into the back of you and write your car off leaving you with a crumpled piece of mess that'll cost you money to keep in a compound or cost you money to have it crushed.

I suppose the only exception would (or should) be immobiliser, alarm and/or tracker, which should reduce the premium, although my immobiliser has had no effect on my premium :(

I was with directline with my polos, they wont insure any mods unless your over 25

Find a decent broker that understands modified cars,

HIC for example. Visual mods won't make a difference to the premium. Obviously performance mods will.

I've got some advice for you, If you're not gunna tell them then cancel your policy and use the money you save to modify it more, its no more illegal!

In case you can't tell i'm not suggesting you do that.
