  • 1 month later...

a small update to the slo-lo...

the golf seats sit quite low to the floor and i found the gear stick too high.... so out came the grinder again....

before

after cutting down

DSC00033.jpg

after the gear knob and gaitor had been fitted again

DSC01462.jpg

this is one of my favourite mods on this car!!!!

i also went down to my local scrappy, and to my disbelief there was a s reg polo... which has the darker dash which i was after.... so within half an hour the dash etc was all out and in my back garden! to be fitted at a later date....

DSC01457.jpg

i also got a set of tt pedal covers... the clutch and brake pedal are fitted, the accelarator pedal will have to see some action from my trusty grinder

DSC01461.jpg

oh and a bit i am not too happy about, fitting standard plates... there is a crack down on the german ones up here, and been followed etc, i decided to take the german ones off, to save getting a £30 fine! the german ones will be fitted again!!!!

DSC00036.jpg

looks very smart mate.

i also took the rear back rest out of that same polo.... so i stripped down the golf seats, foam etc... and did the same with the polo ones... i then fitted the golf seat cover and foam to the polos metal part with the catches etc.... got the middle holder/bracket fitted aswell so that the seats are fully usable compared to the golf seats! ha

R1CH - cheers!
