can this be done?

I don't want to have a piece of crusty hose hanging out the bumper so it their any other way.

I been thinking about mk2 golf vents.

I was going to cut out the offside fog light slot on the GT and glue one of these behind. Then go through the charcoal canister to the filter.

And then I was going to use the cover that most people don't know they are missing (lower middle of the bumper with the bars) and glue the other one onto that. Then just go straight through the engine bay

Is there an easier way of doing this?

you could open the slats out on a mk3 grill by the headlight and use a cold air feed from there. you wont even be able to see its been fitted and it works as well as one from the bottom of the bumper.

an idea my bro gave me.

will have to work on it but.....

Take the offside indicator out. extend the cable and use a spare side repeater stuck on.

then air would come straight from the 'hole' and into the filter.

can you have too much cold air? think i may be going OTT

Don't Polo GT's already have a cold air intake behind the grill?

I put my induction filter in the space where the coal canister was (in the wing). This gives it enough cold air and stop most of the hot air from the engine.

its a blanking cover for an intercooler.

my cold air feed was fed through the bottom of the bumper, next to the towing eye

i got a scoop to plastic weld into the blanking plate in the lower bumper, drivers side below the numberplate

i got my brother to plastic weld it...

..he does paint and bodywork for a living & has all the gear to do it

You MK2F owners,what we gonna do with you. You have all that area and still cant make use of it! Why are you all thinking.. Little scoop and tiny pipe? I've used the area between rad and headlight. But I'm still using a pipe with a bore size of 200mm - i could fit my head in it! It houses a stainless steel mesh cone filter - and car looks standard. Take one,ovalise the end,put next to rad in bumper.

Yeah,my jet-engine ram-air cant really be explained without a pic,but I'm without email. I will sort it when i can. If someone would do me the huge favour of giving me a number,uploading pictures i send to it to a photobucket,then giving me the addys,i could put pics on that way - but i want to be able to do it myself. I could 3 years ago with a 7650,so its crazy i cant now.
