Find somewhere else dude, I'm sure there will be a garage willing to stamp the form for cash in hand.

45 quid thats shocking

i just got my m8 to stamp it.

he works at rang rover.

any garage will do it.. ask the guy to stamp it n give him a tenner or something!

i tried doin that! but then the guy said "oh its an engineers report" and said he would have to check this and that and will take him long.

does anyone know anyone???

is it just the garages stamp, like the one used in the service history? I'm on quinn and looking to lower soon too

I just went on a drive around Colchester to local garages, first two wanted an hours labour, when I got the third garage he said £15 cash, looked at the shocks (through the wheels lol) and stamped :)

i got the engineers report today through as well, once its filled n stamped, what happens next? u send it back and then what happens?

send it to them and they will ring you. But i ring 2 days after and kind of skip the que.

normally its no change in price, even small performance mods.

took about an hours worth of chasing but anything 15bhp over stock they begin to charge.

so try to find a friendly mechanic :paranoid:

act dumb and say its because it looks nice. I always get my guy to slag my car off. Eg minimal if any performance change given the rather small engine capacity and the vehicles age :unibrow:

when you lot say "stamp it" what are they stamping???

i am considering lowering my car in the early summer adn want to gather all the info i can, i am also with quinn direct.

its basically a garage stamp to prove they looked at the mod and that its fitted ok.

thats why most garages wont just 'stamp it'

now if you happen to have your own stamp...........

kool, but what are they stamping? the invoice that came with the springs???

No, Quinn Direct will send you out a form that needs to be stamped, basically to say the car is still roadworthy.

ooooohhhhhh now i understand cheers

i got a quote from the main vw dealer and they said £35, not that bad is it?

A mate of mine with a 106 just got an MOT station to sign it at the same time as his MOT, cost him no more.
