Nope you can cancel your policy when you like.

I do believe you have to pay some kind of fee though, some insurance companies may be different.

Rang mine up today, they owe me money when i cancel it, due to me already paying for this month

You will need to send back the certificate then they will do the rest

something else to remember is if like me you are thinking of changing insurance companys becuase you are getting a new car then always get a quote with your current insurance company. I was quite lucky that KGM moters would not insure me on my Polo GTI becuase of my age so they worked out the cancellation fee pro rata. Saved me over £100. Very nice.
