Model: 1992 Polo CL Coupe

Engine: 1.6 AEE Engine, Golf GTi air flow meter with K&N Induction kit, Decat, Jetex Exhaust System, 5 speed 8P gearbox (Rebuilding a GT one).

Suspension: Yellow Bilstein shocks with G40 springs up front and weitec springs on the back, front upper strutbrace, Superflex ARB mount bushes.

Brakes: 239mm vented discs, Golf GTi Mk2 calipers, Mintex 1144 pads, Goodridge braided hoses, Rear Mk3 Golf GTi calipers, discs, and pads, Willwood brake bias valve, and hydraulic handbrake.

Wheels and Tyres: GT Steels/ Sirrocco Mk1 alloys, Yokohama A021r's or Dunlop SP85's for rallying. Pirreli P-Slots with P6000 tyres for everyday use.

Exterior: GT arch and sill trim, Rear tinted lights, Spotlights, Sumpguard made from 6mm aliminium (need a stronger one lol), debadged.

Interior: Magnum bucket seats, 3 point sabelt harnesses, Navigator's footrest, OMP rollcage, Sparco steering wheel, Willwood brake bias valve with brake lines running through the car.

Comments: Bought the car for £70, then spent weeks changing everything over from my old one. Did my first rally as a driver at the beginning of this year with the single point injection engine, and finished 5th in class, and did my second 1 last week but the exhaust came off on a rough track :( .

looks like a good'un for 70 quid. what are those things on the boot door?? and whats it like with a de-cat, any noticable difference???

I've just had a massive de-ja-vou moment it looks like youve robbed my car!

Lol, not trying to copy yours.

Had a white one before but bent the chassis leg, so bought this one and swapped everything over.

Started to sort out the bodywork yesterday as it's a bit tatty after the last owner.

Had a respray this weekend, and did a rear disc conversion the other week.

Got the hydraulic handbrake done yesterday, used a Willwood master cylinder with the original handbrake lever.

Rear end locks up so easy!

Got an AEE engine now, hoping to run it on GT managment, but need to know what inlet manifold/throttle body to use?

Got it done for free off a mate, just payed for the paint

Did a rally this weekend, got 29th overall out of 90 cars and 1st novice :-D

Going to start getting the AEE ready to put in next weekend!

Changed the engine this weekend, now got a 1.6 AEE, running on the GT engine managment.

Pulls much better than the GT engine!

Was dark when I got home from work so some poor quality pics for now.

I like it a lot, need some GT arches and some back to black on the bumpers and your a star! lol

That was more or less the colour I was planning on doing my car, then some sort of retro van and a MK1 Escort popped up in my town in that colour, hence the even more outlandish colour of my vehicle lol
