Its not long before my renewal, and have heard many good things about Brentacre.

Currenty 20 and will have 1 years no claims with pass plus, and was just wondering how they handle car modifications?

Theres not an awful lof i want to do to my car, will add some new wheels, coilovers and maybe some arch flaring

Anyone know from experience if they will charge alot more for such mods?

Thanks

all stuff you want wont make a difference as long as u notify them. they're good with owt like that.

as long as you dont modify engine over 100bhp (if you are insuring you are 1.4cl) ul be fine.

they dont care about pass plus

tell them budget gave u a quote at 650... theyl offer it u at 630 with any luck.

.... dont mension it!

I think Brentacre are a little more expensive to start with (500 vs 230 from elephant for me) but you get the benefit of not paying out extra for modifications. I'll be insuring the G40 with them hopefully. I can't see many other places offering good quotes.

I've just started the policy on my G40, modified BHP wise, limited to 150bhp, they offered the best quote by far, I'm not insured to the hilt and they are a good bunch of chaps who know their stuff, RECOMMENDED!

Ye brentacre were chepaest for me when i got my first G at 20

Just wasn't allowed a roll cage but any other mods i want as long as i told them

Limited to 150bhp but could increase that whenever for free just aslong as i kept them informed

Cheers for the replies folks!

I'll try and get a quote at some stage throughout the week, looking to get TPFT insurance, want to get below £650 if possible, currently paying £1,600 fully comp. :-(

I've just started a new policy with Brentacre :) Very friendly and helpfull, gave me the cheapest quote by £50, no one could beat them with Fully Comp.

I'm allowed any cosmetic mods with no admin charge (unless they need to do alot of legwork - important to me as I do alot of little mods during the year), but *bonus*, I'm allowed to go up to 100bhp on the original engine without increasing my premium.

(p.s. I am also 20 - just - with 2 years NCB, 3 points, one claim, and one cancelled claim to my name, so not particularly low risk - was very impressed by their quote)

Got my 20vT with them, like lunalupi said, very friendly, they treat you as a person, not a robot, its not, Mr this and Mr that

Is it just guys that have to ber over 19 with brentacre or girls too? Could really do with getting my quote down from £1800

brentacre quoted me, a male at 17 on a mk4 polo 1.0l, was mighty expensive though :(

Hello i have just taken out a policy with them by far the best insurance comp i have delt with i have 2 years no claims I'm in the age bracket of 26 cough . i drive a 2ltr corrado 16v its got 17inch rims on i can modify the bhp to 150 its benn lowered 60mm and all this fully comp for the low low price of £61 per month .

i was with direct line and they were charging my £130.00 per month with only the rims declaired .

can't fault them fantastic service which i would have payed more per month for but they said no its how we do it .

any how I'm extreamly chuffed with them and would recomend to any one .

the only thing is i think to get the best price you have to be over 19 been driving for at lease 12months or something like that .

Another thumbs up from me aswell.

Bascially you can do what you like to the car and it won't bump up your premium. Well aslong as you don't exceed there power output limit.

All you have to do is let them know.

There well into there Dubs aswell so if you insure something interesting they usually end up having a chat abut it

Yeah, they actually knew what my car was! :D
