hey guys

this is my 16v polo, I've had it since october last year, it went in the bodyshop on wednesday for a small makeover

I'm having some smoothing done, n poop loads of rot removed from the rear arches, then getting them pulled slightly.

I'm gonna get my bbs refurbed to 8's all round

but for the mo I'm gna leave them at 7.5s front and 8.5 rears

ill just have to polish them first,

i dropped the solnoid off yesterday and was well impressed with the progression,

i got some pics after test fitting my 8.5's, I've decided to go 8's cos i like to drive it hard and cant justify having to worry bout rubbing issues, but i also cant help thinking that with the low offset they stick out a tad too far, i never know tho i might change my mind

8.5 on rears, with the arches slightly pulled but there still not complete

the front arches are extremely sexy again 8.5s but i gna go for 8's

the boot still needs doin and the arches properly shaped and skimmed

i keep it updated when i can

was going to have a bit of smothing done when i put mine in for fresh paint but in the end i didn't bother so i'll be interested to see how your's come out! good choice of wheels to was looking for a set myself for a while!

i was thinkin bout smoothing the whole bumper and just leavin the centre vent, but i dnt think it would work with the silver.

Nice! I remember that in the For Sale section before (can't remember the previous owner's name/username now!). I've always liked the wheels, very different.

The guy that had it before put some big ass brakes on it iirc..Looks cool though mate,,top work.

i bought it of a lad called mike who looked after it well, this his user name is loopypolo

as for the colour of the rims I've been considering antracite think u said dublass think it would look nutz!

rich, yer it has 280mm g60 discs, they are very nice

with the bbs on when u look thru the front wheels all u can see is discs an it looks sweeeeet

UPDATE

went the body shop today and its progressing rather slow now, and I'm expecting her back on SATURDAY . it best had be lol

its at a stage now where little bits like the jacking points need smoothing, n he said he wanted it in primer tonite

the arches have ben skimmed,

again there has been a little, or should i say rather large mix up which is not good. i asked for my badge and lock n handle to be smoothed off the boot but he has done the plate recess aswell which i am not too happy about but for the time being I'm gna leave it n he will sell it for me so i get it redone properly.

yummy! shame about the plate recess but i guess its not the end of the world i mean you could always sell the bootlid as it is buy a new standard one and get it done again and i'm sure you wouldn't loose out too much! keep us updated though looking forward to the finished article!

What wheels are them big things? I kinda like them good progress though, You should ask for the boot work to be taken off the bill ,
