and i don't wanna hear any of this "well you shouldnt speed, so why worry?"

they come up on my tomtom so i presume that they do

i've been told they only work when there is a reduced speed limit being shown on the roadside boards .... for instance flashin '50' they would be active but if there isnt then they arent workin.... a m8 told me who drives london all the time... also i've come flyin round there a few times a haven't had a ticket so i pressume he is correct...

I've seen the clockwise cameras flashing when I've been going the other way (was like a bloody disco), never noticed the anticlock ones working. I think they have quite a high margin above the posted limit on when the variable's in operation.

Disclaimer: Don't try it though, this is just what I've observed.

If they didn't work, they wouldn't be there. And if you've gone through one and think it had a case against you,all you can do is hope it wasn't in operation at that time, and start driving at legally acceptable and insurance approved speeds. Boring, sure, but thats how it is.

i have never been caught, and have hauled from j8 right through to 16 on a regular basis..
