NO.

I hope that helps.

shouldn't do, my impreza turbo has no rear wiper and its completely standard!!!!!

A rear wiper, just like a reversing light, is not part of the MOT test.

If it's not there they cant test it, (unless you should have a pussy)

mine passed with the rear wiper blade hanging off :D

IT'S NOT ON THE TEST!

Do they check whether your stereo works? NO

Do they check whether the dimming adjuster wheel for your dashboard lights is working? NO

Do they check whether you've got a carpet in the boot? NO

Do they check your reversing light? NO

Do they check your rear wiper? NO

WHY? Because it's not on the test!!

An MOT test is there to test the functionality of certain things that all cars must have in order to be considered fit to use on the road. It is not there to test absolutely everything fitted to your car. Some things are considered non essential, and as long as they don't interfere with the operation of the car, are left well alone. When was the last time you saw in MOT fail sheet with "Sub in boot sounded a bit distorted"????

i heard somewhere that you dont even have to have a rear window (but id check before you go and take it out)

so long as you have no wiper on the rear your OK

same goes for windscreen

Guess thats how you get away with louvered rear windows.

BWAHAHAHA!

they should have an MMOT, (modifications MOT)... any mods that aren't carried out properly should have the car taken off the road :D

That's pretty much how it's done in Germany.

i saw a ford (says it all really) with bucket seats.

he had literally put the chair where he wanted. drilled 4 holes straight through the 15 year old rusty floor and then just wacked a few nuts/bolts on.

somewhere on here is my guide how to fail a MOT. was probably the worst modified car that ever attempted to get a MOT
