Got my angel eyes on a couple of weeks ago and one of the indicators seem to be steaming up. I'm guessing there is a crack or abit of water init somewhere.

Just wondering how i solve this. I thought about taking the plastic off the indicator and then re-sealing it.

Any advice would be great..thanks

mine did it to.. 2 weeks after fitting the matching lenses.. just fks cheap build quality mate... just wait tilll its sunny and it will dry out :)

Yes thats a nice idea mate, but its really bugging me and i want to sort it out so it doesnt happen again.

drill a tiny hole at the bottom of the indicator cluster, should let air circulate in an out properly

You want to seal it,ideally. The hole trick should work to some extent by preventing moisture getting trapped in there - but it wont prevent moisture getting in there in the first place,and some steaming is still likely.

If it was just the standard set, i would have recommended baking it for 10 mins on Gas mark 8 to melt the current seal, washing it out and drying it fully, and then re-sealing it all properly.

However i'd be wary with some fancy pants kit...

Guess thats why you shouldnt buy angel eyes, unless you have an E39 M5.

water vapours unlikely to move in through the hole because of the pressure differences between the outside an inside of the cluster, small volume inside the cluster, higher pressure when moisture tries to enter, doesnt let it get in ...i think lol

open them up and tape some silica gel inside them. The stuff you get in shoe box's and stuff to absord the moisture. Usually in a white square bag.

But u gota get the bag in the lights somehow.

Am i correct in thinking that if you just put the lights in the sun the moisture will dry out? Has anybody actually over came this problem lol

Get a hair dryer to it and blow hot air at it from different angles to dry it out then seal up the hole/crack if there is one.
