Comments: 2 owners from new, was too much of a straight car to do what i have done to it! but i love it and it is something different that turns heads!

Next to my dad's Bay at Stoner Park:

it was a Genesis in a gay blue.....after i rolled my mk4 polo. my dad got hold of this 2 weeks back (he is a mechanic and buys and sells a few cars) he couldn't sell it, and i didn't particularly want it.....but when he said 'you can do what you want to it' i changed my mind! so last week it had a good strip down, sand down, and I sprayed it matt nato green. Had a great 1st trip out in it on sunday to stoner park, loverly weather! and i got a few stickers for it.

didn't see that yesterday, looks well good though! half code the bumpers to match and you're onto a winner, the rear badge would look good sprayed black along with all red rear lights... just a few ideas!

the back badge is red - not pink....old digital camera can't cope with reds. it just made it stand out a bit more, wasn't sure what to do with the bumpers, so i just put some special plastic paint on them to freshen them up a bit.

That the exact same colour I was going to do my old genesis squareback but I ended up leaving it in oxide primer. Half code bumper would definately set it off nicely. That and a nice drop on the steelies

I might have a look at doing the bumpers at some point....

done a few other things -

Put some German plates on it - instantly made it look loads better than the old faded crap on it before.

Put some new alpines in the front, some JBL 4x6 either side of the parcel shelf, and some sony 6x9s on the shelf - sounds great!

I picked up a flower holder at Stoner Park, now mounted on the side of the dash.

what the flower holder for? holding stuff? lol and love the colour my dads landy is exactly the same bt his has been done in the garden with a roller lol

Yeah, it is Unleaded, isnt a sticker tho. I popped into Staples and picked up a stencil, and did that (along with the 1.7 above the wheels).

as in orange indicators? it had them on it, but when i put it back together after painting it i put the clears on, looked much better and doesn't date it as much.

no the whore front lights main head light bit spray that yellow or get some yellow window tint film or similar and cover them in that

I was driving back from a band practice last week, and saw the blue flashy lights in my rear view.....crap i thought, was it going to be the german plates, or that my log book hasn't comeback yet after change of colour.

Nope, apparently there computer 'flagged up that your car isn't insured'. I replayed with yes it is and its costing me a lot of money! - quick show of driving license, told them who it was insured by and they called em up and everything was fine.

There were 2 cops, one was doing all the official stuff - on the radio and onto direct line (he read the number off the plates and didn't have a prob with them). And the other bloke as asking me about the car, he loved it! 'i love the colour and the aerials, i like the whole german feel'.

any way, I don;t think there comp had a problem, i think that just though i was worth a tug - young lad in something different.... But hey, i had a good chat about my car, got to show it all off to the cops and they loved it! - was a bit late home though. I gave them a wave off and said 'Weldon for trying to catch those uninsured though!'

so from a pant kacking moment to having a laugh and having my car admired by officers of the law, it was a good night!

lol luky you lol and yer i completely understant the situation... but i got stopped as the police thought there was something wrong with my suspension as the mud flaps were dragging on the motorway lol so I've just had to have a another mot and comfermation that the suspension is on!! but it was a good lught trying to convince a COPPER that there was NOTHING wrong with the car lol and i was sooo tempted to ask if his head went all the way to the top of his hat lol
