Featured Replies

a while ago i brought an upswept twin dtm for the mk3 from volksbits, and since then its spent more time in the garage than on the car, because it doesnt sit properly. has anyone else had this problem with their backboxes?

also does anyone know of any places that do custom s/s exhausts, in the birmingham area?? i know 'smithy' on here works at a place but is there anywhere else? just so I've got a few options...

cheers dan

yes, i had trouble even getting the standard one to sit right

until i got a different make, which sits perfectly. it is more than likely that the pipe/backbox haven't been pyt together at the right angle, or the bracket on the top of the backbox is skew-wiff

give top gear a call on 0121 522 3232 its in great bridge they did mine

Mk3 exhaust are crap as stock. I found anything other than a brand new stock one with new rubbers and clamps would just fall off eventually.

they are pretty pants, they hang to much really.

THere should really be another hanger inbetween the middle box and the back box imo. Where the pipe bend in a S shape. Between the front of the middle box and the back of the back box there is no hanger! Its just balanced there!
