will the boot cover bounce up and down if i get a sub

Featured Replies

I'm probably getting a sub, not too powerful. 300w rms. I park on a street though, so i want to leave the grey bit that hides the contents of the boot inplace. I am concerned it might start shaking in time to the music though? Mk4 polo.

The parcel shelf? No it wont move alot, might vibrate slightly, nothing major though......random post...

300w? tbh i would tie the shelf down dont want to hurt anyone

what about the rear tires? i don't want them hopping up and down when I drive, as cool as it would look.

if your tyres are bouncing up and down..... just turn it down.....

or you will die from loss of blood through the ears

300w sub making a car bounce up and down? that i'd like to see!

 Me too!

Is this a joke?

would a spoiler or rear diffuser help prevent this?

just made me laugh ha

With a sub as powerful as 300w, you might want to make it face the back of your car - every time the bass kicks it will boost your car along, miles better than a sh*tty induction kit. But yes if you face it downwards the rear wheels will bounce, if you face it upwards the parcel shelf may be fired into the passenger compartment, and if you face it to either side any pedestrians could get knocked over. If you face it towards the front of the vehicle you may be blown out of the windscreen!

Always wear your seatbelt when driving with a sub, would be the best advice i could give in this scenario..
