Hello all, I connected up my 6x9s from my stealth shelf to my headunit the other and I was driving along with ma music on pretty loud, everything working fine then it cut out no sound no power going to it not even turnin on. I've not blown the speakers, and I thought I'd cracked it when I found the fuse had gone, but I replaced that and it still doesnt work :( I even tried connecting up my old headunit, that doesnt work either. I tried the factory VW radio, and this is the only one that shows some sign of life, it turns on and asks for the security code but I dont no what it is.

anyone got any suggestions on what is wrong with it?????

try your head unit in another car...sounds like it may be that if the original VW one works in the car ok...

double check there aint a fuse on the back of your aftermarket stereo aswell

I've tried my other headunit which I no is all good an workin, I dont av another car to try my headunit in at the mo but I'll try it in one of my mates. I did also check the fuse on the headunit an thats fine as well.

headunits dead?

The headunit requires 2 lives, a constand and ign. The standard unit might not(but I have a feeling that it also does)

You need a circuit tester to see if you have the 2 lives, and a decent earth. If you have, the units dead.
