awesome car 8-)

I've never liked nor understood all this roof rack malarky. :?

However, the car itself is absolutely beautiful. You have completely turned it around and it is a credit to you. Fantastic results inside and out.:thumbsup:8-)

Its probably just the light, but in the side shot @ the Belgium show, it looks like its got a dent on the rear quarter - just in front of the fuel filler but lower down, the sill looks distorted too? Please tell me its not damaged?!

my god who needs porn when you have pics like that

i have a 89 saloon but i would love a car like yours m8. and now i'm sad thanks a lot  (ha ha )

Cheers for all the comments guys :-D

Nice one fella on the the award, I've always said yours is the best and this just confirms it again.

I’ve got to find you at edition to get you to let me have a proper look around your car....one word.............INSPRATION!!!!!!!

Alreet mate, yeah should be at edition in it, I really need to sort out the paintwork in a few places, its not that great in some areas. Probably wont get it done before tho. I think your car is much cleaner than mine mate, I was loving it at edition last year.

Yep the sill is distorted, the original one was fooked as was the jacking point behind, me and my mate did all the work at my parents so its not a professional job by any means, however I love it so thats the main thing!

Thanks again for all the positive comments

Haha, cheers mate.

Unfortunately the wheels have been sold! They'll be gone this friday, gutted to sell them but I really needed the money! Not too sure what I'll replace them with but it'll probably be some time next year before I do.

I got the bumpers with the car, I've got another set from another mk1 I owned that are stashed in my loft but they're not for sale, just incase anything happens to the ones on the car.

Hopefully over winter I'm going to fit the twin 40's and smooth a few areas of the bay, we'll see what happens

Cheers Tramp, appreciate the offer mate. What do you do at Bentley?

Heres a few pics I took tonight, finally!

Heres a pic of the passenger side A pillar, this was replaced with a piece that Vic kindly gave to me. Thanks to Jims awesome welding this looks like it was always there

Picture004.jpg

Picture009.jpg

Heres the repair done in the engine bay where the expansion bottle was, just needs a bit more grinding and a skim of filler.

Picture003.jpg

Heres the passenger side sill area waiting to be welded, hopefully will be done soon.

Picture005.jpg

Passenger side floor repair, needs grinding back still

Picture010.jpg

Inside all the sound deadening has been removed, just a little surface rust apart from the massive hole in the bulkhead!

Picture007.jpg

Picture008.jpg

The main thing I've been doing is removing all the stone chip from under the arches, the drivers side is now done apart from a little bit up in the turret, no rot was found luckily. I dont really want to redo the stone chip after all the work I've done removing this but I'm guessing if I just paint under here as it is it'll just chip off? Does anyone have any ideas?

Picture002.jpg

Picture001.jpg

Think that'll do for now, sorry theres nothing exciting!
