just need a normal rack for a car with gutters, nothing special.

Depends which type you want also. Cause most of the period ones are more roof baskets where you can chuck stuff onto and thats that. Where as modern ones seem to be roof bars that you put a roof box on top of and fill that full of crap

You can modify a beetle one to fit, think a camper one would be too big tho, here a pic of a mk1 derby with a modified beetle rack, not sure whats involved tho. wish it was mine!
