You know the lil hole in the centre console for your music thing ( CD or Tape player), well has anyone not got a CD player and just put in 3 gauges. The 52mm Tim ones.

I would like to see how good it looks as I'm just about to do it but I'm worried that the surround will look a bit plop.

I was gonna mount them on a piece of black plastic that was say inside the surround from a CD player. That seemed to look tidy, but the gauges are to big to fit in the CD player surround. They will just fit in the hole without the CD player surround.

I'm talkin about the Mk2 GT by the way. If anyones done this can they show me please.

I wouldnt use a CD player surround,blanking plates are available and i think they'll look fine in one of them.

I was going to stick an audi 80 lower console in mine at one point until I got bored and went off the idea.

Don't know if it'd fit, but it looked about right.
